It’s a HUGE month for Michelle Engel Bencsko of Cicada Studio and Cloud9 Fabrics. (And with Quilt Market coming up next month, I don’t think she’ll get to slow down any time soon.) She has designed two fabric collections that are both hitting the stores this month — Shade Garden, her followup to Dogwood for Henry Glass, and My Happy Garden, the debut line for Cloud9 Fabrics. As you may already know, Cloud9 is an exciting new organic fabric manufacturing company founded by Michelle and a partner. My Happy Garden is shipping to stores right now — you can see the list of stockists here.

She’s offering both collections up for grabs in one giveaway here today. One grand prize winner will win a fat quarter bundle of each collection — that’s each of the 16 prints of Shade Garden and eight of My Happy Garden (that’s six yards of fabric in all!). Two runners-up will receive one fat quarter bundle of either Shade Garden OR My Happy Garden.

I just about jumped up and down when I saw this fabric on the shelves of Purl Soho when I was visiting New York last week! OK, maybe I did a little. It’s just as lovely in person as it is in pictures on the internets!
I’m so excited for these fabrics – I’m hoping to venture into baby quilt territory since there is a baby boom among my friends, and I think these would be just perfect!
