Jennifer Paganelli (aka Sis Boom)’s newest collection for FreeSpirit is Flower Power. It’s composed of antique florals and other motifs updated and infused with an eclectic, vivid palette. The zebra stripes are bestsellers from a previous collection (Mod Girls). They underscore the distinctly modern edge of this ornate, feminine collection.
Flower Power was inspired by Paganelli’s childhood years spent on the Virgin Islands. (Virgin Islands? What?!) Hear more about it in this Craftsanity interview. You’ll also find out about Jennifer’s background living in New York City and working as a representative for the ultra-modern Knoll, her transition to being a stay-at-home-mom/craft entrepreneur, how she got started in fabric design, and how she keeps going when things get tough.
Also hot of the presses, this interview with Scott Hansen of Blue Nickel Studios. Comment on that post to be entered in a giveaway of Sis Boom Fat Quarters and scrap bags from Blue Nickel!
And in other Sis Boom News, Jennifer is holding a workshop at the end of this month (March 28) at her home in Wilton, Connecticut:
Come join Jennifer as she walks you through her creative process showing you step by step how to achieve your creative goals. The mix of visualization and collaging help you to bring your ideas to real time. For this workshop no experience required and Jennifer through visual aids and conversation will help you explore your inner artist. The only requirement is a large blank Journal that you love and magazines that resonate with you. Other materials will be provided.
There is still space left, and you can sign up online.
