Mushrooms From the Oughts
In looking for vintage mushroom fabric this week, I came across tons of contemporary mushrooms too. I dare say they are more popular now than they were in their 60s-70s heyday.
Wild Mushrooms, from the Earthly Delights collection by Cicada Studio.
Mushroom City by Alexander Henry — discontinued, I think? Or maybe not yet on the market? Found on scrapstampsew‘s Flickr stream.
Unidentified mushrooms from Littleluvs on Flickr.
Mushroom print from Old Navy flannel pajama bottoms, from merwing-little deer on Flickr.
Then there’s about a billion Japanese import mushroom fabrics, many of them kindly uploaded to the True Up Flickr pool by Lisa of This and That From Japan. Here are a couple of my favorites.
And here are a couple more found at Miss Matatabi on Etsy.
Isn’t Decole the greatest?
And that’s just scratching the surface. What are some of your favorite contemporary mushroom prints?

WOW, lots of MUSHROOMS, and it is all cool fabric. Thanks for going on “the hunt” for it.
The unidentified mushrooms are from JoAnns. I believe it is “their” fabric.
I love the Alexander Henry mushrooms from the Tillbrook collection, too!
“Unidentified mushrooms from Littleluvs on Flickr.” That fabric is called “tossed toadstools” made exclusively for JoAnn’s! I LOVE it and have tons.
The Alexander Henry mushroom is an older fabric. I got a couple of yards of it a couple of years ago at but in blue and green. I think I saw some of it at Mendel’s on Haight last month though. Or maybe it was at Joann’s?
You can still find that alexander henry print on etsy and ebay from various sources.
