Decor8 Goes to Stoffmarkt

Holly at Decor8 takes us along with her Stoffmarkt Holland‘s stop in Hannover, Germany. She encourages the U.S. to pick up on this idea of a traveling fabric market — I second that motion! (image: holly becker for decor8)

Batik

COLOURLovers recently featured this extensive look at batik which included the video above. The processes shown here look nothing like what I imagined, and now I’m eager to try them out.

High As a Kite Fabric

It seems like every time I visit the Michael Miller site there is some new irresistible mini-collection. This print called High As a Kite is available in shops now. It coordinates with some of their stock dot and stripe designs. So sweet! And so violating my no-new-novelty-prints-on-white rule. Damn!

Daily Swatch: Leaves

The atomic 50s design era sure liked leaves. Leafy is from iheartlinen (aka Rashida)’s stash on Flickr.

Meet the Sponsors/Giveaway: Quilted Treasures

Two of the many tempting fat quarter bundles found at the Quilted Treasures Etsy shop: Cosmo Cricket’s Hey Sugar (left) and for-some-reason-hard-to-find-as-precut-packs Kona Cotton Solids (right) I would love to see more brick & mortar shops doing things the way Quilted Treasures does: catering to all tastes with a wide and well-thought-out inventory, and maintaining [...]

Japanese Fabric of the Week: New Echino

Thanks to Kelly at Superbuzzy, we’re getting a preview of the newest Echino fabrics by designer Etsuko Furuya. Though she’s not certain, Kelly assumes they will be printed on the traditional Echino cotton-linen blend — and maybe the oilcloths with make a comeback. What do you think? We’ll be sure to get more information at [...]
