True Up is a mere one week old today, and I’ve already gotten a huge response. I just wanted to thank everyone for the links, feedback, questions, and suggestions. I really appreciate it.
I don’t know if I could have sustained an all-fabric blog just a couple years ago. There just wasn’t as much stuff that I liked and felt motivated to write about. I knew the names of every designer I liked, which stores carried their lines, and for how much each one charged per yard. (I know. Dork.) The wish list in my head was finite and manageable. Now you can’t even begin to keep up with it all — the ever-evolving quilt fabric scene, the Japanese fabric, the handprinted fabric, all the Etsy shops, and now all the greatness that will certainly come from Spoonflower — it’s just overwhelming. That’s why I started True Up — I thought a filter would be valuable, for the consumers, designers, and merchants alike.
Do you feel the same way as I do? Has your wish list gone crazy? With all the choices available, how do you prioritize spending your limited budgets? Talk about it in the comments.
