Field Trip to a Fabric Mill

Shannon Riffe of RiffeRaff and the Make It blog interned at the organic fabric and wallpaper company Mod Green Pod and visited the New England fabric mill that prints MGP’s fabric. Read all about her visit here. Don’t you just want to hug those rolls of blank (greige) fabric?

  1. I’ve been to many print mills, but never one that hand screens. What I wouldn’t do for the opportunity to have my own work hand screened and go and be a part of the process like this. It’s just fascinating!

Very nice indeed. Just rec’d a referral for a mill in NE. Can’t wait to find out more.

I just read this and wanted to make a correction: This is not the mill where Mod Green Pod hand screened printed our previous collections (we now rotary print, still in the United States). That mill was also in New England, but this is not that mill. This is where our fabric was mechanically finished.
