Nicole alerted me to La Plus Belle Collection de Tissues Liberty, or “the most beautiful collection of Liberty Fabric” blog. Every. Single. Liberty. Fabric. Ever. Well I don’t know if it’s every one ever, but it’s a very good representation.

It’s ‘tkanina’ in Polish
Singular in french is ’tissu’, without the ‘s’. You would had the ‘s’ if you had different kind of fabrics. Du tissu, des tissus…
In Italian it’s “tessuto”.
It’s tkan’ in Russian, kangas in Estonian, and (I’m pretty sure) kanga in Finnish.

Waechter’s Silk Shop, in lovely Asheville NC, sells some Liberty prints. I half wish I’d splurged the last time I went on vacation, but … that’s okay. (And Tricia stole my russian thunder!)

Liberty prints are my newest fabric to covet, but I’m afraid that would be quite a splurge for me! I keep hoping maybe, just maybe I’ll run across some at a garage sale or something…

I think it’s Stoff in German, kinda like “stuff” in English… oh, and you need the initial capital letter, all German nouns have them;)

http://www.infab.com sells has a good selection for $32 a yard and I’ve had some great deals on ebay through a seller called katsfabrics. I just can’t say no to Liberty, especially now that it’s summer!
