Quilt Market Fall 2008: Japanese Fabric: Lecien
I didn’t get to talk to anyone at Lecien — they were busy with buyers every time I came by so I didn’t want to interrupt. So this is the only picture I managed! I entertained the thought of snatching this FQ pack up and running away screaming maniacally, tossing away any future I might have in the fabric industry. Surely it’d be worth it?
I did get to see that the My Folklore line is being expanded with two new prints. I don’t know if that means the older sold-out prints are being brought back as well, but the new ones were very, very good.

it would SO be worth it! I got another of the packs they were selling at sample spree, I’ll take a pic and send it over for you later if you want
You are too nice Kim. I’m afraid I’d have interrupted them (Very bad form in Japan I’m sure!) and stolen those packs. Its good I wasn’t there. I’d surely shame the fabric world in the US by my stalking of the Japanese booths.
Darn it! I missed meeting you at Market. I met with Weeks who had such great things to say about you. Sorry that we didn’t get a chance to meet. I sent you an email just before I left though–did you receive it? I’ve been having…issues with my email. Let me know.
I think anyone would forgive you for running off with those FQ packs!
That is one of my fav lines that are current now. Yikes. I would have pushed you down to grab it from you.
The floral stripe addition to the My Flocklore line was killin’ me. I’m thinking Western shirt. Not sure what to do for the yoke, contrast fabric or diagonal stripe.
