An Interesting Fabric Design Process

The original artwork

The final fabric print

On The Fat Quarter Shop‘s Jolly Jabber Blog, Holly Holderman of Lakehouse Dry Goods wrote a guest post about the process of designing her new collection Boy Oh Boy. The centerpiece of the collection was originally bought from an artist at Surtex. Ms. Holderman shows the original piece and explains the changes she made to it to make it more suitable for the printing process and more marketable to quilters. Fascinating — I had no idea one could do that!
